My Story

In Maheshwar, Madhya Pradesh, a young boy from a marginalized community works as a tour guide, concealing the pain of his past. Exiled from his village in Chikamagaluru, Karnataka, for touching a sacred idol—a violation of caste traditions—he lives in isolation, separated from his family and community.

Meanwhile, an elderly American, grieving the loss of his son, travels to India seeking spiritual peace. On his journey to meet a revered monk, he encounters the boy and is deeply moved by his story of resilience and injustice. Determined to help, the American vows to assist the boy in reclaiming his life.

Together, they travel to the boy’s native village in Karnataka, where the American challenges the deep-rooted caste discrimination that led to the boy’s exile. Through compassionate dialogue, he urges the villagers to see beyond caste divisions and recognize the boy's inherent worth.

Ultimately, the villagers embrace the boy, allowing him to reunite with his family. As the boy finds acceptance and belonging, the American also finds closure, healing from his grief. Their journey becomes a powerful story of redemption, compassion, and the transformative power of human connection.
